Privacy Policy
Overview
Build Your XI is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit, collect, or share any personal information with us or any third party.
This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes, and what rights you have over it.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of the following:
- Your name or email address
- Location data
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Any content you create in the app (lineup names, player names, photos)
Data stored on your device
All content you create in Build Your XI — including lineup names, player names, formation selections, substitute assignments, jersey colour preferences, and any player photos you choose to add — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage using AsyncStorage.
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it (for example, by using the Share button to export a lineup image via your device's share sheet).
Photos
The app may request access to your device's photo library so you can assign a photo to a player slot. Photos are only accessed when you explicitly choose one within the app. Selected photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
You can revoke photo library access at any time via your device's Settings app. Revoking access will not delete photos already saved to a lineup, but you will not be able to add new photos until access is restored.
Camera roll / Photo library access for sharing
When you use the Share feature, the app may request write access to your camera roll so it can save the exported lineup image to your Photos library. The app only writes to your photo library; it does not read existing photos during the share flow (unless you are assigning a player photo, as described above).
Internet access
Build Your XI does not require an internet connection and does not make network requests during normal use. The app is fully functional offline.
Third-party services
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking services.
Children
Build Your XI does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected, the app is suitable for users of all ages.
Data deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by:
- Deleting individual lineups from within the app
- Uninstalling the app, which removes all associated local storage
We hold no copies of your data and have nothing to delete on your behalf.
Changes to this policy
If we introduce features in a future version that change how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the "last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect the change.
